5 Years + Summer Vacation

caterpillar on deckHope everyone is enjoying their Summer so far. On Saturday August 11th, we’ll be having our 5th anniversary of opening the restaurant! We’d like to reward all of our customers over the years that have helped make our place a success, even if in a small way. On that day, we’ll be giving out free 4oz. samples of Four All ice cream with all purchases. Come celebrate with us for lunch if you’re passing by.

We’re doing the usual thing around here and taking a bit of a break from the shop mid-August. After Saturday the 11th, we’ll be taking two weeks off, Saturdays inclusive, for some family/vacation time. We’ll be back at it on Tuesday, August 28th. Have a great summer and see you on the flip!

Summer Menu and Vacation

TLC with BaconIt’s a great time of the year for sandwiches! The Farmer’s Market is rife with beautiful veggies for the summer – pickling cucumbers, tomatoes, berries and fresh greens of all sorts – corn is starting to come in and we’ve got new potatoes to look forward to soon. We just got a massive harvest of garlic scapes from Nick’s dad and we’re looking forward to getting our hands on this year’s hot pepper harvest. Pickling time is now so we’re hoarding jars! We’re celebrating a fresher time with a departure from the menu of the Ms. Piggy and the B.B. Squash. We’re treating our bacon right with tomato, lettuce, chèvre and chipotle, hold the pork for vegetarians. Back by popular demand is also the El Granjero, a chorizo sausage patty garnished with a corn, bell pepper and lime salsa on a bun.el granjero

We’ll be repeating last year’s vacation itinerary, closing on August 16th and returning on the 30th. We’re excited to rejuvenate and do a bit of traveling. We’ll also be rocking some deep cleaning, remodeling, and organizing at the stand.

Holiday Schedule 2015-2016

Christmastime! We’re winding things down for the Holidays around here at the Kitchener Market. The upcoming Saturday, the 19th, should be a good one as many are home from out of town and will be stocking up on farm-fresh goodies for festive times.

We’re planning to be here on the 22nd of December for a clean up and shut down day, so anyone looking to pick up last-minute bacon, that day will be the last chance before Christmas proper. We’ll be back on January 2nd (and a couple of days before prepping back up to open) with a menu update including an old favourite. Stay tuned!

Closed – December 22nd – January 1st
